  • Clients: GIZ Nigeria
  • Implementation period: 06/2023-12/2023

ICM provided strategic and organisational advice to GIZ Nigeria on the formation of its "AgriCluster". Michael Gajo moderated a five-day workshop in Abuja in September. The cluster consists of seven complementary and interlocking projects that cooperate in the following areas and with the below objectives: Value-added, market-orientated and resilient value chains provide better income and employment prospects in countries of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). Intra-regional agricultural trade is being strengthened in the ECOWAS region. Climate-friendly agricultural crops are being developed and small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises are being promoted. Agricultural innovations lead to resilience to climate change and food security. Financial services are provided for agribusinesses in rural areas. Innovations in the agriculture and food sector contribute to sustainable rural development in Nigeria.
